Enhanced Services Program (ESP)

This program seeks for provided technical assistance services above and beyond KIUC’s core business of generating and delivering energy. These services include, but are not limited to:

• Providing energy costs estimates for proposed new equipment.

• Analyzing rate schedule changes.

• Providing future energy rate information to assist members with their annual budgets for energy costs.

• Troubleshooting high energy consumption.

• Training on motor characteristics (nameplate), motor controls, protection schemes, energy efficient motor principles.

• Providing bill calculation training.

• Providing energy efficiency training to employees of commercial businesses.

• Providing education and recommendations for back up generation.

• Providing education and recommendations for UPS. and power quality.

• Auditing central plant operations and EMS effectiveness.

• Sponsoring energy-related seminars on topics like energy-efficiency, motor protection, UPS, power quality, maintenance practices.

• Providing financial support of technical assistance studies.

• Providing load and power quality monitoring.

• Providing comprehensive facility energy surveys.

• Developing energy efficiency implementation plans for large facilities.
