Energy Wise Efficient Appliance Rebate program

Rebate program designed to raise awareness of increased efficiency in appliances due to government mandate and encourage members to discard less efficient appliances and replace them with new and more energy efficient models.

Rebate Schedule for 2010

Rebates are in effect for appliances purchased between the program dates listed below:

• Clothes Washers - May 1, 2010 - June 30, 2010

• Dishwashers - August 1, 2010 - September, 30, 2010

Efficient Appliance Rebate Program Eligibility Requirements:

• Appliance needs to be new and purchased from any appliance retailer on Kauai.

• Rebates are available on a "first come, first served" basis until available funds are exhausted.

• KIUC reserves the right to discontinue the rebate program without notice and KIUC reserves the right to verify installation of appliance.

• All rebates will be paid in the year the appliance was purchased.

• Rebates will be paid by way of a check.  Rebates cannot be applied as a credit to charges for the electric bill.

• Rebates are for replacement of existing appliances in residential accounts only.  Commercial accounts and new construction does not qualify.

• One rebate for each eligible appliance, per member.  Duplicate requests for multiple rebates will not be honored.
